Howler Wasp Hive: ANM1 Enhancement

Image
Howler Wasp Hive An assault on the enemies of the Bee Tribe.  An expansion for ANM1 The Bee Tribe of Anchorome The Bee Tribe plays a crucial role in maintaining peace between the minnenewah tribes to the east and the various bug folk (particularly the abeil) to their west. They serve as an intermediary for both trade and territorial negotiations. However, the Bee Tribe has problems of their own and any disruption to their important duty could lead to strife in Anchorome.  This is why adventurers could be hired by any number of Anchoromian species to help the Bee Tribe eradicate one of their primary enemies, a nest of vicious howler wasps. Creatures created by a mad shaman that have features of both giant wasps and carnivorous primates. The rewards are tangible (DM can set an appropriate gold reward), but the gratitude of both the minnenewah and the insect folk may indeed be priceless.  The Hive The howler wasp hive is made of a paper like material, but it is mixed ...

The Phosphorescent Cay: MZM1 Enhancement

Image
The Phosphorescent Cay   Revisiting the heavenly island briefly detailed in MZM1 Teoatl Magic Believed a myth by most, Vakaardo Island, also known as the Phosphorescent Cay, is rightfully thought to be a slice of heaven on Toril. It’s is a very difficult place to find, though it’s location to the west of the southern tip of Kolan is relatively well known.  Powerful currents seem almost conscious in their efforts to prevent large ships from making port, but interestingly enough, small crafts like canoes are left unaffected. There are also creatures in the depths that are highly overprotective of the island and its inhabitants. One of these beings is named Pall-Moille. This titanic seahorse is an oracle of the deep and the humans of Vakaardo are among the few whom she will have regular interactions. Some on the island believe her to be a divine spirit and have even attempted to make mystical pacts with the Dreamer in the Depths. The island itself has an unparallele...

The Ioun Stones of Cazimar: PSM2 Enhancement

Image
The Ioun Stones of Cazimar  A collection of new Ioun Stones to add to those found in PSM2 The One of Many Facets In ancient days when the archomental Crystalle was a more trusting being, he was a close ally of the dao khan Cazimar. The two elementals had what might have been considered an actual friendship for a time, but Cazimar betrayed Crystalle and stole many of his precious and even some unique Ioun stones.   The collection below represents “the Stones of Cazimar.” The dao has an obsession with such magic, but over many centuries, he has lost even some of his most precious. Today, they can be found almost anywhere.  The Stones of Cazimar  Each stone below is detailed with it’s common name, rarity, geometric appearance and abilities. Unless otherwise noted, each stone requires attunement in order to be used and the stone must be orbiting your head to function.  Steadfast (Rare).   When attuned to this Ioun Stone shaped like a brown cube...

Vutunuvit, The Hidden Tundra: ANC1 Enhancement

Image
Vutunuvit, The Hidden Tundra   A newly detailed region of Anchôromé and expansion for ANC1 The Anchôromé Campaign Guide Nestled between the coniferous forests of the bird folk to the northwest and the slightly warmer northern reaches of the Adusgi Forest to the southeast, a desolate stretch of permafrost greets the lost and exiled. Vutunuvit is cold year round, but it is not arctic. While at first glance it may appear uninhabited, this couldn’t be further from the truth. A remote tribe of the minnenewah called the Vitunuk have thrived here for centuries and they mostly keep to themselves. Less common are the tirigan arctic fox folk and the ooktipick snowy owl folk who prey upon them. An ancient magic is also believed to linger deep below the frozen ground. The local folks are thankful that the entrances to this mystical realm are few and far between as nothing good ever emerges from it. Few folks have reason to come to Vutunuvit and most believe that there is nothing to be f...

Aureate Gallery: ANA3 Enhancement

Image
The Aureate Gallery A Collection of Art and Magic for ANA3 Journey into Rainbow About   The adventure Journey into Rainbow was designed to draw players from the land of Anchorome into a unique demiplane originally detailed in Dragon Magazine Issue 321. One of my favorite locations here was the artful city of Conil-A-Ald, also known affectionately as the “Harp of Glass.” Within Conil-A-Ald is a magical art gallery and collection of near priceless works of unique art created by some of the most gifted artists in the entire cosmology. This collection is known as the Aureate Gallery. Its curator, also the appointed queen of Conil-A-Ald is the lillend Chyseria. In ANA3, eight unique artworks are detailed, but there are hints at many more.    This expansion is meant to detail some of these additional pieces, as well as to suggest that some may be borrowed, traded for, or earned through completed tasks for its beautiful curator. Perhaps some of the artworks can lead to ad...

Duklijfrimben: ANM6 Enhancement

Image
Duklijfrimben A turquoise dragon greatwyrm for the  ANM6 The Turquoise Dragon supplement Duklijfrimben, who is sometimes known as the Blue Duke, or even just Duke among allies, is the first of the turquoise dragons to "ascend" to the status of a greatwyrm.  Typically, enhanced dragonsight and the merging with one's echoes on other worlds is the means for a dragon to become a greatwyrm, but Duke is likely alone in the multiverse and has had no echoes with which to merge. Instead, Duklijfrimben has reached his exalted status at the behest of the Mighty Spirit Hli'akwa, who has infused the dragon with power, and sponsored his ascension only recently.   The Blue Duke was the first among the turquoise dragons to hatch and he has dedicated most of his existence into ensuring the safety of the young among his kind.   Hli'akwa admired this softness in the ancient dragon and imbued him with his very own essence.   Some now believe Duke ...

Bantambairn: ANS4 Enhancement

Image
Bantambairn Shire of the Pasocado Basin A New Location in Anchôrome visited by Achcauhtli the Traveler, who has only now remembered to add to his journal, ANS4 Once Across Anchôrome About The journal of the traveler Achcauhtli known as Once Across Anchôrome was my attempt to view locations in Anchôrome how it would appear to an explorer making their way through the region.  I really enjoyed putting the book together because it was a format I had never used before, and I got to tell a story while simultaneously adding game material and furthering the lore of Anchôrome. Phillip “Sleyvas” Wallace has expanded so much on the continent with a whole collection of articles and books which you can find on DMsGuild, each of which is linked here on this blog.  Sleyvas also has contributed tons of material to the lore in smaller chunks on the forums for Candlekeep, primarily in the thread Brainstorming Anchôrome .    When I saw his write up on the    Bantambai...
