Following the Era of the Immortals in Maztica came what was known as the Golden Age of Payit. This was a time of plenty for all of Maztica when humanity flourished.
Payit and Far Payit both excelled in culture, developing in technology, medicine, astronomy and magic.

Destined to marry her half-brother Xetl, a jealous suitor named Tacal who was himself prince of the great Far Payit city of Tulom-Itzi cut off her head at her very wedding.

PSS2 Monsters of the Spirit World
Newly released on 1-21-24, Monsters of the Spirit World was the first project to be completed here in the Workshop. I really enjoyed the process of closely detailing the process of putting it together here.
The description on DMsGuild reads:
This monster book is a "spiritual successor" to Morte's Planar Parade with 16 new or updated creatures. Each monster has some basis in a planar setting but they are designed to be completely setting agnostic. For those following the True World Campaign, a separate section is given to each creature in order to specifially connect them to that setting. The origins, whether from Dragon Magazine, real world myth or just the mind of the author is also explained.
The monsters in this book are the following.
- Alcor (from Dragon Magazine 101 1985)- A cold based lizardfolk that uses its flat tail to sled into an attack.
- Batharact - The fiery mammoth mount for the archomental Zaaman Rul.
- Baykok - A flying spirit that targets arrogant warriors with its invisible arrows.
- Iskayñawi - A tentacled devil that focuses its torments on the greedy.
- Kuatli - Spirit eagles that are great protectors of children.
- Lybbarde (from Dragon Magazine 139) - A great cat popular in real world heraldy with a whip-like tail.
- Mikoapahtli - A branch of the couatl that were trapped in the Abyss and needed to adapt to survive.
- Qalupalik - Underwater hags from real world Inuit lore.
- Quakedancer (from Dragon Magazine 180) - A carnivorous brontosaurus lookalike that uses its extra set of legs to create powerful earthquakes.
- Sargusian Fungus (from Dragon Magazine 270) - An Abyssal fungus that takes commands of trees with its rhizomes.
- Skullrider (from Dragon Magazine 198) - A skull-bodied spider that is not undead, but doesn't mind being around them.
- Skywyrm - An old Mystaran creature found on the Plane of Air. Powerful and majestic cloud-cats.
- Tatankaska - Planar bison protectors of the great herds. White furred wielders of runic power.
- Wañulach - Undead rilmani!
- Zhinii - Tar encrusted fiends who rise incidentally in the wake of demodand attacks.
- Zizimime - Great skeletal shepherds of the dead.
Every creature has its own individual piece of artwork and is confined to its own page for ease of use!
I completely missed these two books. I am going to have to check them out.
